Okay, I'm having several issues with my car, and can't seem to figure it out! Let me explain............…

So last night, it rained. No big deal! Out of nowhere, the alarm on my car starts going off (factory alarm). I hit the unlock button on remote to turn it off, then hit the lock button to engage it again. This happens again three more times within a span of five minutes. However, on the third time doing it, the lock button on the remote wouldn't lock the doors (as there was no usual flashing of side markers to verify). I go outside, start the car, and let it run for a few minutes. I get out, and attempt to lock doors with keyfob as I usually do.....Nothing! I have never NOT been able to lock my doors when using the keyfob. Try it again, and still nothing! Strange, but okay! So I use the key itself into the door handle to lock the car. Cool, I can see the flashing LED on the driver door, so I head back in the house. No sooner than I open the door, The alarm starts going off again. I hit the keyfob to turn it off, and what do you know......The keyfob won't lock the doors! As before, I try this twice more, with the same results! So, I end up leaving my car unlocked all night because of this!

Fast forward to today....I run a few errands, and of course when I try to lock the doors, the keyfob doesn't work, and trying to lock the doors manually, still causes the alarm to go off after a few minutes. I'm at a loss for what the heck is going on at this point, but as an added "F@#k You" from my car, I finish my errands, go to start the car, and I see the strangest thing display across my MFD.

Has your windshield ever been replaced?
Some ECU/MICU problems occur during rain when there's not a good seal and moisture/condensation messes with the units.

 

Do a search, IIRC, it's likely a faulty rear door switch.

Never had windshield replaced! This is the first time anything like this has happened! I will definitely be digging deeper into the issue!
