Angry Steering Wheel Hard to turn

I have acura tl 2006 base model. My steering wheel is very hard to turn only when trying to park or get out of a parking space. I have to wrestle with my steering wheel, i dont think someone who weight around 90'pound can turn the steering wheel, thats how hard it got. What can be the cause of it?

Your wheel will be harder to turn the slower you go.

How long have you had the car? Has it always been like this?

TL steering is pretty firm at slow speeds; takes some getting used to.

It been almost 2 years now that i owned the car. No it wasnt like this, before it used to be little hard but it was fine. Now its almost impossible to park or take out the car from parking.

That would definetly indicate a problem. Not sure what though.

I had the same problem with my 07 TL-S i had it for over a year and a half and i did the o-ring replacement and flushed the PS it fixed it for a couple days, but then the problem persisted. I then just got the whole power steering replaced and havent had a problem since its been over 6 weeks *knock on wood*

There is definitely something wrong with your power steering.

Hey ATLSahota, did you bought the power steering rack and pinon brand new or re-manufacture?

Bump for fix?

My '05 just started doing this, along with a slight "sound that sound a bit like rushing fluid, but I cant tell exactly where this sound is coming from. Seems to be fine once I pull out of a space, but doing so proves most difficult. I'd rather not have to take it to a shop they charge so much for so little...
