when i go to start the car i hear a click noise when i turn the key all the way and another click when i let go and the car will not turn on. any one know whats wrong here? starter problem?

 

Bad battery or dirty cable connections on batt. posts, batterys seem to fail most often in July & January.

 

all my lights turn on no problem so i don't think its the battery

 

The same thing happened to my 06 TL today, lights and navi went on but nothing from the engine. Took it to the shop and it was the starter. Had a new one installed but now my remote starter doesn't work. I'm gonna have to call the remote starter company tomorrow to see how to fix that.

 

With your issue, did you need to put in your code for your radio and GPS? I bought my '06 TL used and have never known the code. Maybe the dealership can reset it for me?

 

Also, I had the same problem as the OP and I started out with swapping batteries because it was about that time anyway. I cleaned the connectors and threw on some battery lube (That stuff that comes in the little packets at every autoparts register). Same problem occurred. Did a lot of googling and decided to swap out the starter and the car fired right up. When I took the old battery and starter back to Advance for the core refund I asked them to test them both and they were both bad...Coincidence or am I about to have an electrical nightmare?
