Steering wheel sounding like a bed box spring

I have noticed this in my car 06 TL lately especially this last few months. Everytime I turn the wheel to the left it makes this light spring type sound almost like a worn out box spring or something and it is coming from the steering column not outside. Anyone on here had this problem before??

Bad clock spring. The lubrication inside the unit is dry. Remove the steering wheel and replace the clock spring.

Thanks guys hopefully, that's the problem. The parts itself is around $132.00 I am going to see if they can cover this being I had complained about this at the dealer while the car was in bumper to bumper warranty and they could not find the noise then cause the noise mysteriously disappeared for few days go figure now it is doing it more often

Im not sure if i have the same problem, but lately its been pretty warm in Cali, and Im tryin to isolate rattles/squeaks and have gotten rid of most. but I still hear a faint rattle squeak sound what appears to be from the left side vent, but I have put felt all over, nd only occurs when A/C is on mid level fan speed.

I actually isolated the sound from the steering wheel.
I press down on the steering wheel with pressure and the small faint squeak/rattle goes away and once I release it, its back. how would you go about 'lubricating' to get rid of it? Not sure if the suggestion ^ up there is same.

Well today I took the car in to the dealership and come to find out the part is actually a sealed part called cable reel.. I decided not to replace it cause first the extended warranty does not cover the part and 2nd if this part did fail I would not have any horn, all the switches will not work as well as my airbag light would come on. The tech explained on the description on the part obviously there is no way to try to clean and lube it. No worries on that I decided since I was there I figure I get my tires rotated and balance and get the alignment done since I did not get this done when I got new tires couple of months ago and it was the right time to get it done. Good news is my alignment was not off that much. My 2 rear wheels had it more then the front ones. Everything else turned out pretty good as far as suspension components and all the bushings
