Squeeking noise around PRNDL

I've only had my TL for about 1.5 weeks. Since day one I have this annoying squeeking sound around the PRNDL cover plate and / or the trim piece below that plate. This noise is almost continous and more pronounced when hitting a bump.

Was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if there is a fix. Perhap an instruction on how to remove and "lubricate" these trim pieces would be very helpful.

TIA

This thread should help you. The page with the removal of the shift trim is 20-78 (the second page down).

I was going to just put that page here, but there is a lot more useful information in that thread, in case you want to go further.

Thank you for the info. It looks difficult to remove these two pieces. Just wondering if it is necessary to get the KTC trim tool set (which I was told was about $60) or can you suggest using other tools that I can buy at the autoparts store? I don't want to damage/scratch anything.
