Source for Rotors/Pads

I have an 06 TL auto that I'm going to have to replace the front rotors & pads on .. one of the front rotors is warped and I'm not going to have it turned only to increase the chance of warping it again.

Any one have a source for good quality rotors & pads. I don't need slotted / drilled etc because I an not a spirited driver nor do I track it. But if they are better and cost competitive with the non slotted I might be interested.

TYIA.

Irotors.com! I got the drilled and slotted along with some posi quiet pads for all four for about 380 bucks. Take a look on the site and just email them if you want anything specific. They have excellent customer service and ships fast. Haven't regret it since. If you're military they will give you a discount as well.

Just pick yourself up a set of the brembo blanks if you don't want the crossdrilled.

You could always go to the vendor section where there are 4 people you can choose from. I believe it is Kenjusa and Brakeautomotive that have the two best prices for daily driving rotors.

Some members have been sportin the Duralast CMAX Gold ceramic pads for less dust and OEM preformance. Can get them at Autozone for $60.00 and have a lifetime warranty. I plan on getting these when the time comes. You can do a search for threads that discuss this.

Recommend checking with site vendors Mr. HeelToe (www.heeltoeautomotive.com) and Excelerate (www.excelerateperformance.com).

Racing Brake from Heel Toe; Rotora from Excelerate and StopTech/Centric from both.

I did have a need to replace an OE front rotor on the '07 TL-S and got one from NAPA. ~$55 iirc. It's been running/holding up just fine as far as I can tell. For your auto, it might be a little less expensive (not sure, but I think the MT/TL-S's have a slightly larger rotor than your AT).

I warped my rotors to and I don't drive that spiritedly with the TL, maybe once in a blue moon, but 40K of city driving took their toll. I got Racing Brake Slotted rotors from Mr.Heeltoe and I love them! They haven't given me one hickup in 30K of driving, still as good as the day I bought them. As for pads, I bought the A-Spec pads from acura and these have a nice bite to them. The only thing is that they dust a little bit more than the stock 5AT brakes, but not as bad as brembo brakes.

Just recently I've replaced rotors and pads to all EBC products. For the occasional track days and daily driver, I chose EBC 3GD SPORT SLOTTED AND DIMPLED BRAKE DISCS, VENTED, GOLD ZINC mated with EBC GREENSTUFF 2000 SERIES PREMIUM BRAKE PAD SET.

So far so good, they bite harder than OEM setup for sure. After some lengthy spirited runs, I've so far experience little to no fade in 'bite'. I'll have a better idea of how they perform possibly after a track day.

Everything ran me $700 CAD out the door installation included.

I did the RacingBrake 1-piece rotors and ET300 pads from HeelToe, also. With stainless lines and fluid flush/change. I really like the feel and after 25-30k miles, I haven't had a bit of trouble. The factory disks were so warped, I stopped driving my car for the last week until my order arrived. Total cost was ~$650USD. You can get it ALL from HeelToe. I'll try out some other front pads next time, but only for comparison. Maybe some Hawks or EBC.

i would probably give the ET500 a try before the others, seeing as they were designed to go together. i had the aspec pads with the stock rotors before i switched and i thought the aspecs were so much better than the base stock pads, but the RB setup with the 500 pads are awesome, and seem to have only gotten better with time.

Which pads are better? The rep mentioned that Ceramic Pads are loud for about 1500miles, needs a wear but don't dust. vs Metallic Brake Pads

Thanks
