Something wrong with my LED installation

I just got my LED interior lights in today. I attempted the back seat ones first, and had an issue. The right one went smoothly, but the left one, not so much. I'll try to explain this, being a beginner, my vocab my not be correct. So the cover came off fine, and the original bulb came out. Now I just had to put the LED in right? Not sure what it's called, but the thing that would hold the bulb into place, (sort of a plastic looking piece, right where the base of the bulb goes), it popped right up into the hole and I can no longer see it. What is this? Something bad or easy fix?

Sounds like the base/socket pushed in. You'll have to take down the domelight assembly to see where and why. Hopefully you can snap it back into place, if not some epoxy will do the trick.

Im not exactly sure how to do that. Would that just involve taking the silver piece out?

I don't see how anyone can screw up a LED bulb installation.... That's got to be the easiest thing to do... lol

What's up with the negative attitude? Was that really necessary on a forum?

Guys, let's calm down here. There's no need for this.
