Side Mirror Rattle

When I close my driver's side door I hear a very noticeable rattle coming from the mirror. It didn't do this until a recent ice storm.

Anyone else have a problem with this?

Are you 100% it's from the mirror and not door?

A few people mentioned it here on AZ.

I had a rattle in my driver side door, too. It sounded as if it was coming from the memory seat button area. I told the dealer this and they said it was actually from where the mirror attaches to the door so they put felt in that area. The rattle is now gone.

SOMEONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM WITH ME!

I thought I was the only one with that problem. Here's what I did: I took out the driver side's side mirror and put some padded insulation in the area.

From what I understand, that rattling sound was caused from the mirror assembly rubbing against the exterior door trim. It's all plastic in that area. So just take out the mirror and put insulation around the area where the mirror touches the assembly.
