I've been noticing what seems like an on/off problem. I really can't link it to any particular area of the car, but i'm assuming its the transmission. It started about a month ago, I want to say after I got my oil changed. I switched from Royal Purple 5w20 to Castrol Syntec 5w20 with a Pureone oil filter (Autozone had a combo deal for $25) Anyways, that may or may not have anything to do with it, just throwing it out there.

At relatively low RPM (1,500-2,000 +/-) while feathering the gas pedal, the car shudders. It only does it then, nowhere else in the powerband does the car shudder/shake. It seems like it occurs most often in 3rd and 4th gear. Transmission fluid was changed at 42,xxx and the car now has 51,000. Any ideas? Of course my warranty is out...

 

What year is your TL? And is it a 5AT or 6MT?

 

Hi, I have just recently become the new owner of a 2005 TL, and so far I am very happy with the car. However, I am also experiencing a 'shuddering' that happens between 80 and 100KPH. I've had it checked out by the ACURA dealer, without any explanation. The car has 107000KM and I have had the transmission and engine oil replaced by the dealer. I have seen other posts on this but not anything that describes a solution.
