Hey,

Recently I noticed that my shift console rattles.
It looks like the left side is popped up a little bit on the shift console.

There's a temporary fix to this rattle that I call "push down on the shift console and enjoy the 30 seconds free of no rattles".

I found this by ihatecars and he had the same problem.

I don't think his fix would work though, because mine is actually popped up a little.

You can see in this picture the left side is higher than the right.



I tried pushing down really hard on the left side but I don't think it wants to pop back in. I'm not using all my strength due to the fear of breaking something lol.

Looking at this pic - it makes my shift console thing look high!



Any tips?

 

you may have to open up the console and take a look. Anyone?

Just popped off the trim around the shifter, which allowed me to take off the carbon fiber trim piece.

Then I cleaned everything and re-assembled and so far so good!
