So I have been trying to program my seats to memorize the setting but get the error that states "customizing is not available because the remote is not linked."
I have tried holding down the lock and unlock on the remotes with no blinking.
Also, I do not have the HomeLink connected in the vehicle due to battery draining issues.

Does anyone know if the HomeLink needs to be connected for the Keyless Memory option to work?

Homelink does not need to be connected. You'll have to link the remote (mem 1 or mem 2) to the car. Is the remote the factory one or an aftermarket one?

 

I have the OEM remote and 2 aftermarket.
I've tried to link the aftermarket ones but not the OEM remote. I'll check it tomorrow.
But they all work to unlock and lock the vehicle along eith being connected to the immobilizer. So that's what puzzles me.

 

So I have the OEM Remote 2 to the vehicle and even when pressing the lock and unlock buttons together it only blinks twice and no changes on the screen.
Am I missing another step?

 

[UPDATE]

So I was able to program the Driver 2 key fob that came to with the vehicle, however the other two keys I bought online (non-OEM) cannot be programmed.
Is anyone else having this issue?
