Memory Seat Problem
Memory Seat Problem
Here's the scenario. My wife had used the car last and used her remote. I unlock the car with my remote and I don't see the seats and the mirrors moving to my settings, although the dash says Driver 1 detected. I press the seat 1 button but nothing happens. So I am thinking it has lost the settings as reported in the other posts. Just then, i moved the seat just a little back with the seat adjust button and then I pressed the seat 1 memory button, and lo and behold, the seat moves to my original settings along with the mirrors. I was happy, but wondering why this happened?!? Is this documented anywhere? Am I missing something simple? Has this happened to anyone else?
This is a common problem and I haven't yet seen a dealer solution posted (though someone may jump in and correct me).

Re: Memory Seat Problem
00TLOwner,
Let me duplicate your theory. I seemed to do this before, and called back nothing.
Fob#2 lock door.
Fob#1 unlock door, the memory gone.
Move chair.
Fob#1 unlock door again.
I'll try this in my car today and see if this is the pattern.
But I would say sometimes you think you lose the memory, the buttons are not working. Actually it's still inside there, after a little twist to your chair or shift from P to D to P again, or doing some other things, the memory will be back. This is not SEAT MEMORY LOST, which is totally gone and there is no way to call it back now.
Hope the update module would help soon.

Update: tallrussian, downstairs, strongly recommend I should not worry or waste time to duplicate it anymore. I'll keep enjoying TL from now on...
Thanks.

Guys,
Stop worrying about it! I believe Acura corporate has already acknowledged that they are aware of the problem and are working on a new version of the memory seat control module. Once the new version is available, they will replace the module on all affected cars. It's a plug-and-play operation.
Until then the dealears have been instructed to not take any action on any memory seat complaints, so stop wasting your time and wait for the TSB!
