Keyless Entry Not Working?

The remote isnt moving the seat. I created a "fake" seat 2 position. Then I locked the car. I then used remote 1 to open doors, but nothing moved into place.

Is there something I can check or tweak to see if it is working properly.

It is possible the remote is not linked to the car. If this is the case, you hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time until the red light on your remote activates. The other issue may be that your seat lost its memory of the first drivers position.

It is quite possible that your fobs are not linked to the car. This is discussed in the manual and the quick start manual. If I remember it correctly, you hold down both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time until the light on the fob blinks. You will need to link both fobs. Your seat memories should work after the fobs are linked. Even if they are not linked, they will lock and unlock the doors. Good luck.

Hey wow. I never realized this. It was this way on my '02 and I guess I just never used the other key for my '04 yet (I'm a selfish driver!)

I just went out to my car and I'll be...I never programmed the remote.
Thanks - learn something new - even reading the manual, must have forgotten that part.

Thanks guys...always pays to read all of these topics!

when you say the seats never moved back were you simply observing them through the window. the door has to be opened before the seats start to move back in place.

I tried it both ways.

I will go back out at lunch and see if I can relink the remote. Hadnt thought of that because it was linked when I left the dealer.
