Hey, i been trying to figure out a screeching noise that only comes on when i press the gas and the rpm is around 2000..The car (2005 TL 3.2 AT w/Nav approx 105kmiles) has been checked multiple times, to include the catalytic converter and the flex pipe but everything has checked out fine. Is there something they've missed at the dealer?? Has anyone had this problem?

 

Could it be your Belts?

 

Could be the timing belt. There's a TSB for a shim kit to be installed.

 

has the OP had the timing belt done yet? 105-120K is when your drive belts will be at the end of their useful life and need to be changed. T-belt is technically due at 105K so ff you hae not changed it, get it done

 

Definitely check your belts.

 

Timing belt is new and my serpentine is new as well, that all was looked over many times. It still remains a mistery! :S

 

Remove the serpentine belt and see if the noise is still there.

Do you gave a cai, does it make a difference from hot to cold?
