Rough start on 05 TL

Okay, so my 05 TL automatic has been having issues last few weeks. Really rough start to turn over. Once it starts and goes it fine. Just getting it to start is the hard part. My car died the other day. No biggie. Did some trouble shooting. Seem to be the alternator. Replaced it. Jumped my car. And now it's still doing the same thing. Only worse. I have I jump it and hit the gas to about 2 rpm for a few seconds for it to stay on. Other wise it dies again. Once it gets to stay on it will run fine. Help. I don't know what other options to try or look into.

Is it throwing codes (check engine light)?

Was your car starting rough and then it died? Or did it die and then it started to start rough?

Could be your EGR Valve, and it also sounds like your battery could have some issues.

No codes. It was starting rough before it died. Pretty much after my car was off after 10 days when I did my timing belt. (Checked all belts and pulleys. Everything is aligned and good) so I figured my battery but at the time it read good charge after that.

Thanks.

So all this started after you changed your timing belt? You sure the new belt went on correctly? Sounds like it could be a timing issue for sure.

When the car is running, does it run normally? Any stumbling?

Also, did you get your battery tested or just the charge read?

Belts were fine. Onces she's fired up she runs great and smooth.
The battery I havnt gotten tested yet. Just charged. Think it could possibly just be a battery issue. Also my timing belt was done like 1500 miles ago. This just happened the Tuesday.
