Roof plug at center rear?

Roof plug at center rear?

Anyone know if 2006 tl had any type of exterior roof plug over the rear dome light?

You are probably looking at the nut (Item "A" in pic below) that holds the xm antenna.

If you tell us more about what you are trying to accomplish, we can be more helpful.

Did the 06 have XM .. I know in CanaDUH it didn't.

Yes. Mine is a 2006 United States model. It had XM.

Ok good deal .. OPs locataion said "Can" ....so assumed he might be from up here and I know the Canadian models in 06 didn't offer XM. We didn't get it till 07.

Thanks, yes the nut is what i tried to describe. Bought the car used recently and found scuffs and small dime size dents on the roof. I guess the original owner had a roof rack causing all the dime size dents and scratches. I have no xm radio or antenna so I thought it might be a hole for some sort of antenna. I guess this was factory installed, the nut on the roof, worried it was original owner doing some sort of install for the car.

So this plug hole in the roof with the nut for the long term won't rust out on me in the future?

Kind of odd as the TL wasn't offered with XM in 06 as far as I know.
