no, you can't make the film lighter. It will appear lighter once installed as there will be light hitting it from both sides.

A 10:1 bleach-water solution should do the trick.

it won't end up that dark once on the car...depending on ur color.....black and white will give u the darkest effect....blue will give u the lightest affect...silver is inbetween....but it depends on how much light hits the tail lights...like astro said...it will lighten up...

I agree. It won't look as dark once on the car. Trancemission has them on his and I saw it in person. You will like the way it looks. His car looks great with them on.

That is the lightest shade we have. The film will be lighter once installed as stated above. No need to clear coat since the film has one on it already.

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Yeah, bleach lightens everything...put some in with your dark load of laundry next time...I'll bet everything is lightened!

They really arent that dark. They do have a dark appearance to them, but our brake lights are so damn bright you cant even tell once you apply the brakes.

By the way, how many people noticed you are supposed to wax your films? I almost didn't notice on the directions, but sure enough a wax is needed to keep the film's seal and appearance... I cant remember how long it said to wait. I waited a couple weeks.

I've had the pleasure of being stopped twice in my TL (scared to death im going to get suspended... that's 4 times in 2 years now) and both times I had

No front plate
Smoked Lights front and rear
Tints

And the cop didn't say a word other than about my speeding. He also didn't ask to see insurance either time, which is good becuase the first time I hadn't switched insurance to the TL yet when it was new.

They have a clear coat finish on them so yes you can wax them to get them shiny and new looking.

jmbnova - you have an email.
