Right side headlight bulb dead. Auto headlight issue?
I have my headlights settings set to auto on/off. My right headlight just recently went out, hopefully it's just the bulb that's dead and not anything else.
Now because my garage is very dark, every time I start the car, the headlights turn on. And as soon as I exit the garage, the headlights turn off. This also happens vise versa when entering the garage. On average I usually exit and enter the garage 2 times per day.
Since HID bulbs are meant to last a long time, I'm thinking that since my car is a 2007 model, it seems a little bit early compared to other TL's who still have their OEM bulbs from before 2007.
Should i just leave the auto on/off headlights settings off?

HID headlights do need to stay on for a small while until they've warmed up. Having them turn on and then off again can shorten their life for sure. I don't use the auto feature for that very reason. It only takes a second to twist the switch.
