Resistor help

I just blacked out my headlights and bought switchbacks and rear turn signal lights. I had 2 6 ohm 50 watt resistors from one of my previous cars but I think only 1 works now. I also had 2 3 ohm 50 watt resistor. I went ahead and ordered what I thought was 4 6 ohm 50 watt resistors from online but come to find out when I requested 2 orders it was for only 2 resistors. I was thinking of using 2 6/50 on one side and then 2 3/50 + 1 6/50 on the other side. Can I do that? Or should I use only 1 3/50 and 6/50 on the other side? I need my blinkers to work ASAP since they have the hyper flash and when I turn on the headlights they blink only once and then don't blink anymore. PLEASE HELP!

I would do the flasher mod and be all set .. It seems to be the most simple solution. Only 1 resistor of .23 ohms 1 watt.

If I was you, I'd look it up in the GARAGE and use ONLY one 3 ohm 50 watt in the flasher. Should work perfect.

When the relays show up, I'll have simplified the sidemarker mod too. Only using 4 relays and NOT 2 per corner.

you coulda just done the resistor in relay mod....less than $1 in parts and only 5 min of labor...

I'm not good at soldiering stuff. I've actually never done it myself. Plus I think if I ever sell the car (which I'm not planning to but just in case) then I would have to put it back to stock, whereas with the resistors all I do is clip them off.

I would think that if you put the 6/50's in (one each side) it should work fine.

The flasher/controller is looking for a specific min. resistance so as long as you're over it you should be fine.

Hell, if you're NOT sodering, you can always add another one in line until it works

Yeah, I added the 2 6/50s on each side and now everything works fine.

Now my only dilemma is that I painted the reflector for the turn signal. I want to take the paint off but gotta figure out how to do that. Maybe a solvent, but I also have to make sure that it doesn't leave the reflector too faded

you dont need to remove the resistor in relay to sell the car...leave it there, wont do anything. only effect is when the bulbs burn out, it wont hyperflash.
