Replacing Carbon fiber interior

i ordered the carbon fiber piece that surrounds the shift knob because it has scratches. How easy is this piece to remove? anyone? thanks

Very easy actually.

You just pry up the silver ring of trim around the shifter first, which you would need a butter knife or something to slowly pry it up. I would suggest prying up each side a little at a time.

Then the bottom carbon piece basically comes up the same way. That you don't have to worry about so much since if you break it, it won't matter because you're replacing it anyway.

Pop the new piece in, then put the silver trim in, and you're done.
