Replacement battery

so... my 07 TL-S wont start, lights are dim and when i tried turning the key, it made a bunch of clicking sounds..

This might be the car's first battery replacement and I've had the car for 3yrs now.

Recommendations?

Thanks everyone for their input.

If it's the original battery, you most likely need a new one.

I like these batteries. Interstate Megatron. I got mine for $100 at a Mechanic's shop.

Same thing happened to my husband's 04 a few weeks ago. Turns out it was both the starter and the battery crapping out at the same time. Talk ab bad luck LoL.

ok, so my buddy at the Honda dealer sucks and says he'd have to order it and doesn't know the CCA on the battery but it's taking him forever to get back to me. Im assuming it would be 550 CCA since its OEM

NTB has a Service Central (made by Interstate) for $109.99 w/ 700 CCA

Sears has a DieHard Gold 35 at $124.99 w/ 640 CCA
Sears also has another DieHard Gold 24F at $119.99 w/ 700 CCA

McGrath Acura (dealer) wants $110 for the bater or $156 w/ install w/ 550 CCA

If i get any of the other batteries I will still need to take it to the dealer to do a reset? The codes written inside my book didn't work after i just gave the car a jump.

Thoughts or suggestions of what I should do?

I recently replaced mine as it first died after playing music in the car for 10min with the car off and 2 days later while talking on the phone and charging for 15min with the car off. I went with the Interstate Mega Tron Plus 24F for ~$130. Couldn't be happier. Fast turn over and just got back from a 4 day trip left my car in 30 degree weather and had no problem starting up. It has 800CCA and a 125minute 25A reserve.

Should have invested in an Optima. Expensive but hands down the best batteries out there.

Maybe ten years ago, now with a good warranty those Mexican built optimas are no better than any other high CCA rated battery.

Still seem to be doing work for me. Living in SD where it gets -40 to -60 with wind chill to 95+ in the summer, have had zero issues.

I have no doubt it works, I own one too... my response to your comment wasn't about it being a good battery and doing its job.

You said it was the best out there, which is false. I have other cars and a boat that have different batteries and they all perform to the same level as the optima.

I replaced my oem batt with a sears diehard gold. I think it has 725 CCA. Very happy with it, no issues to speak of. Ill also agree about the optimas, had a yellow top in my truck a couple years ago and its a good batt for sure, but I never noticed it to be better than any other decent battery out there.
