Is there a DIY on the forum to replace the sidemarker bulb in the fender?
It looks like you have to either remove the fender or somehow pop the light out somehow.

 

The rear ones you go through the trunk and the front you go through the wheel well. If the leds dead you cant change it, ya gotta get a full new sidemarker.

So is there a way to get a brighter LED in the sidemarkers then?

 

a) There are a couple of threads here on AZ, including G-061 and GG-073 linked in the 3G Service Dept/Garage thread at https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-garage-faq-3g-tl-newbies-553554/ ...
b) but it's also described in the "maintenance" section of the owner's manual-- moving/folding liners.

The sidemarkers have to be replaced as a unit, unless you want to do a bunch of soldering-- there is more than one LED bulb in each sidemarker.

You can buy aftermarket cleared or smoked sidemarkers as a set, in addition to single OEM and OEM-style units, but IDK if there are any sidemarkers that are much brighter.
