My 07 Acura TL-S recently has a DVD disc error message with its navigation system. I read that it could be the drive's problem and causing the disc to have circle scratches.

Today I took the disc out and I don't see any scratches. So I am not sure that is it the drive's problem, since it didn't cause the disc to have circle scratches.

My bro says that I should always turn on the navi, even if I don't use it or it will damage the drive in the long run, not sure if it's true.

Since I have a ver. 6.56A SNS disc (TL-S's version is ver.4.55A), will it work in my 07 TL-S ? Thanks.

 

No that's not a white disc. Basically any white disc from honda will work. The 04-06 uses orange, 2007+ uses white disc

And it could be your DVD drive going out. Very common on all Hondas and acuras. The fix used to be $158 from alpine but now they charge 358. Kinda sucks as they are the only company that can fix it and has the proper replacement parts.
