Repair tint scratches?
My GF and I both got tints for our TLs... two different brands installed by 2 different shops. Both are scratching when windows are rolled up and down, and my tints (which are older) are horribly scratched up ont he passenger front side for some reason and some scratches have appeared on all windows. It's very noticable in day or night.
Is there any decent product that can polish tints or hide the scratches that I can apply myself?
Guess those felt strips would have been worth doing after all... :[

it's not the shop... any tint on the TL will eventually become horribly scratched, unless some very good/properly installed felt is present.

To the best of my knowledge - and according to the place that tinted my car - there is no way to "polish out" the scratches - the tint needs to be removed and replaced with new tint. As you indicated, having them install felt on the retint might not be a bad investment! Best of luck clearing things up .

One on the right for me
I asked my install guy if he had ever heard about the scratches. He said he hadnt and didnt install any felt. There havent been any problems so far but I got him to include scratching in the lifetime warranty - he was the one who actually suggested it since I was making a big deal about the possibility of scratching.
And yes, you are gonna have to pull the old tint off and have it redone.

I pulled the tint off mine because of the scratching issue (as well as it not passing inspection ). I plan on re-tinting so I recently order the moleskin from a member here. Have not recived it yet and kinda of expensive I thought. I guess it's the price you pay for no hassles.
