Remote Starter problems

I took my car to freemans car stereo today to get the remote starter put on. They couldn't figure out how to hook it up correctly. They were on the phone with the manufacturers for over an hour. First the were going to wire it up to the door but I couldn't use my factory key fob which means i would have to unlock the car with my key and make the factory alarm go off.
The second way they were planning on doing was wire it up so that when I get in the car I would have to hit the brake which will turn the car off and then start the car up with the key. Pissed me off all day. It took 6 hours for them to mess with it until I pulled the plug and got my refund.
For all the people who have remote start on your car let me know how you or someone else wired yours up. Thanks. I thought I read up on everything on here but missed something.

Bunch of morons, lol. You can do it yourself, fairly simple. I would suggest this: CLICK HERE

You also need a transponder bypass, I suggest one that learns the code from the key, so you dont have to leave it in the car:CLICK HERE

I didnt have much time to look into that transponder bypass, if I were you just email him to make sure its for an 04, and also that it learns the "code". You can probably do this yourself within 2-3 hours for your 1st time.

Sounds like the installers have never installed in a TL before. Personally, I wouldn't take the chance on them. I made sure the outfit I used had completed installations in a TL before and I had no problems with them. Note: factory key fobs work but I use the remote starter key fob for the extra functionality.

I was reading about remote starter under the how long to warm up your car thread but no one had an answer for a good unit.
