Smile Red airbag light came on! Somebody Help!!

Hey fellas,

So I took yesterday I took off my front bumper to take out the stock air box. Had some trouble taking out the main piece but muscled it out. Installed new foglight bulbs and replaced bumper.

Im driving home today and my red aigbagged seatbelted person light comes on. I stop and restart the car and it comes back on within a few seconds. Sometimes it comes on after a few minutes/

Question:

1. Could I have damaged an airbag sensor and made it go off?

2. Is my seatbelt buckle loose and "conveniently" went bad(covered by Acura lifetime warranty), after I removed the airbox and bumper?

Probably seat belt buckle and as far as covered by warranty, good luck as some will cover some won't.
I didn't want the hassle or a diagnosis fee, just replace it myself @ $75.

You should pay to scan the car first so you don't throw parts at it.

Try this fix:
I had a similar problem and folowed the video above without removing my seat. i moved the seat all the way to the back to have access to the screws of the buckle cover. I just opened up the seat belt buckle cover and sprayed deoxit in there and worked the switch on and off and it hasn't come back.

I went to Home dept and bought that stuff above. After running the codes, its my front/left SRS sensor. Its not connected? So I just unplugged it when I was yankin hard to take out the stock instake system behind the the driver side bumper.

Do I replace it? I'm gonna look and see if I can find it.

Heres another thread that mafe me think its only unplugged.: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...-light-762275/

Sorry to hear it's not the belt switch!

Contact cleaner (Deoxit D5 in particular) is one of those products that's always nice to have around. I bought it to clean the pots on my guitars but I love the stuff so much it comes in handy for all sorts of things.

I'd have a look at the sensor again after removing the bumper. I did install CAI for friends twice and we pulled and stomped and everything to get the stock air box out without problems.
Hope it's just a unplugged or loose sensor!
