Rearview auto dim mirror not working

I ripped out my HFL not too long ago because it was draining my battery and have not replaced it. I just noticed that my rearview mirror auto-dimmer is not working.
The green LEDs are not lighting up. I tried the little button at the bottom of the mirror but no luck. Is a functioning (or present) HFL module required for the rear view mirror to work? Anyone else have issue with the rearview auto dimmer?
I just checked all of my fuses and they are fine.

A functioning HFL is not required for the mirror to work, however since there are connections needed to be unplugged, etc. to get to the HFL I would check those connections and see if you plugged them all back in correctly and/or there are no loose wires. I's be willing to bet something is unplugged or loose.

Great idea. I gave it a quick glance and everything appeared to be in order. I'll double check over the weekend when I have more time. Thank you.

When you check the plugs, also use the outside mirror adjust control to confirm that each mirror will move side-to-side and up-and-down.
If the outside mirrors don't move fully, it's a bad fuse. That same fuse also connects to driver seat adjustment.

Thanks Will. Actually, the mirrors and the seats move. However, my next problem to fix is the seat memory. I am unable to save new seat memory settings. Very annoying, as every time I get in the car,
the seats reset to their old settings, and I have to adjust them.

Yes. Can't change settings for either.

You need a new model seat module. The part number is 81628-SEP-A03.

might be a bad mirror actuator, that will usually cause the memory seating to disable so the memory seating led won't light up and the buttons won't beep. if you're having mirror stuttering as well, especially when they drop down in reverse, the actuator may be the issue. Sometimes it helps to just open them up and clean them and apply new grease. After that, cycle the mirrors up, down, left, right, etc and it should all work.

Thanks for the info. Yes, my mirrors do stutter in reverse. I'll give it a shot and report back.

I cycled the mirrors up/down/left/right after which the seat memory keys started working again. Thanks a bunch!

glad to help! definitely plan to grease the actuators in the near future, that should prevent it from happening again.
