Rear Main Seal Appearantly Leaking

So recently I received a coupon for a local Acura dealer for an oil change, so i thought instead of doing it myself this time, I will let the dealer do their little inspection and what not. So after the oil change, a tech comes to me with the inspection check list, and most of it is all good, except they tell me my rear main seal is leaking BAD. They tell me its $1800 to get it replaced. So later that day I come home, and there isn't a single spot of oil on my driveway where i park. So i found that a bit strange. I go ahead and jack the car up anyway, and sure enough, the exhaust, and splash guard under the transmission is covered in oil. At that point I became pretty mad, and obviously starting to think the dealer had done something to make the seal start leaking. A few days go by, and i start thinking maybe its something else, maybe the guy forgot to tighten the drain plug or something. I find myself under the car once again, but this time i actually remove the splash guard and clean all the oil up to see exactly where its coming from. I also check the drain plug, which was in fact tight as hell. I didnt notice any immediate leaks so i dropped the car, without putting the splash guard back on, thinking i would drive it around for a couple more days and check on it again. So a few more days have past, i go to check the under carriage, and to my surprise, i couldn't find a drop of oil. That was such a relief at first, but i started wondering how the hell did all the oil get there in the first place. Someone brought up a good point that the mechanic might have spilled some oil when he was filling it back up, but from under the hood, i couldn't see any signs of spilling. I also did not smell any burning oil. So now I feel its time to bring the issue to you guys, maybe someone can shine some light on this enigma of mine. I know i might be over reacting to this and should just appreciate that the car isn't leaking oil, but i would really like to figure out how so much oil ended up under my engine

Easy, clean up what you can (make it like it was never leaking) drive it for a bit, and take a second look under the car after a few weeks. If your oil consumption isn't bad and you don't see any more oil, you should be good. If you do, get a second opinion. If you had a rear main seal that was faulty, I would assume items under the car wouldn't be coated in oil, but a mist of oil with associated dirt (as in not fresh, uncontaminated appearing oil on the areas underneath). If the oil leak was as severe as you had been told, your oil level in the crankcase should have fallen pretty rapidly.

OP, did you ever have the Power Steering hose recall done?

And sometimes the real main seal leaks seem to heal themselves...

So a few days have passed after i removed the splash guard, and cleanup up the oil. I went to look under the car and realized it its my main seal that is leaking, its actually the torque converter gasket... I did a quick search to see if anyone else had this problem, and it seems like it is much less common than the rear main seal. Has anyone else heard of the torque converter seal leaking, if so how much would the repair be?
