my 04 TL rear driver door can't open from the inside. you can only open from the outside. First I thought it was the child lock but when you engage or disengage the child lock the door still will not open from the inside. the child lock switch seems to be "working" meaning it doesn't seem loose when flipping the switch. when you use the inside handle to open the door the handle seems to not be "catching" anything to open the door. Anybody have any ideas what could be the cause?

 

If you are really ambitious you could pull off the door panel and see if you can see anything that might be affecting the outside handle.
