i have a 2004 Acura TL it has about 160000 miles on it. if you accelerate hard past 40mph the check engine light starts to blink then at about 60-65mph it goes solid and stays on. Ive had it into honda 3 times for over 4 hours each time trying figure out what it is and they can't tell me anything the only codes they can find are old misfire codes. they told me to try gas from a better gas station so i go to chevron now but that didn't fix it. Occasionally the light will randomly go back off but as soon as i get on it again it comes back on.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any insight to what it could be?

Quick note, I've only used Chevron 91 gas in this car ever since I got it at 36k miles.

I have this problem with my 2008 TL-S. Around 49k I was accelerating onto the highway and my CEL was blinking off and on, after a few more accelerations the CEL stayed on. I took it to Acura who said it was a misfire code and could not find why it was doing this, the code cleared and I was on my way.

Fast forward to now, about 67k miles, it happened again, hard acceleration and the CEL blinks off and on. I used about half of my tank of gas so I refill but at a different Chevron gas station. The code doesn't come back upon hard acceleration.

From what I've been reading on Acurazine, this could be caused by a bad tank of gas or needing new spark plugs.

Thanks for the help i also only use chevron 91 so ill try filling up at half tank and check my spark plugs
