Puddle on the back seat floor boards
Puddle on the back seat floor boards
Hey guys. I have an issue with my 04 TL with water accumulating on the floor boards right behind the driver seat. Its in a very specific spot. Coming from the side panel. No evidence of it leaking from up top. Has anybody had this issue before, and if so, how did you remedy the situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Someone else had an issue with this on their passenger side. It could very easily be the sunroof drain tubing.

Side panel = B pillar? Have you checked if carpet is moist in front of driver seat or damp to see if its running back to rear? I have seen it also leak from outside of the door if the rubber insulator is bad and drain in as well.
So I checked and yes, there is some moisture under the driver's seat and near the pedals. Definitely not as much as in the back so I can see it just leaking from back to front. I e read about these sunroof drain spots but I just can't seem to find where they are located.
I've soaked up and vacuumed all I could. It isn't supposed to rain for the next few days so I'll see if it dries up and maybe I can "reenact" the leak. I also have read something about an a/c leak. That would come from the front, right? Maybe it's leaking from the front but just pooling up in the back?
I really appreciate all the help fellas!

If you look up near the fuse box you will see the tube running near there. Its a clear tube running into a black tube that goes outside the car. I had that same problem with my 2000, the clear tube came loose and was draining right into the car

Does the black tube happen to run on the left side on the bottom side panel? While pulling up the carpet and side plastic panels, I found a black rubber tube. Didn't pay too much attention but that would sound about right what you're talking about
If it's not the sunroof drain tubing as other have suggested, check the a/c drain pipe, which may (also?) be plugged.
