Leaking sunroof drain plug

I'm in need of some expert advices/helps. A few days ago while doing some maintenance cleaning I notice there was a wet spot on the passenger side floor by the console.
I read the forum and tried the A/C and found that it was the sunroof drain plug. I poured some water down the hole and some went out to the hole but some went inside the cabin near the fuses and stuff. Took it to the dealership and the guy said that the tube was loose.
My question here is there anyway I can fix this myself. I've tried taking out carpet and the clove box and still can't see the tube in anyway. I also have the manual but it doesn't even show anything. Can someone tell me if there's a way for me to fix this or do I have to let the dealership handle this.

Thanks.

It is something that you should be able to fix yourself. I dont remember of the top of my head how to get to it. You cant see the hose with the glove box removed or the carpent removed? I think it runs down by the kick panel. There is an opening in it i think the hose runs thru that and then out. Ill try to look sunday when i get home.

Is there anyway that you can explain how to fix? I remove the kick panel and was able to lift up the carpet and all. Do I actually have to remove all the wiring and the abs/tcs sensor module??

I tried cleaning out the drain hole with a cable and it got through about 4 ft and got stuck. Tried pouring some water and I notice the water was leaking inside the passenger side just above all of the fuses and cables.

Can you give me a little more info on the kick panel please. Thanks for the advices so far.

I remember this happened to me a while back when i first got my car.

What i did was slide open the sunroof and there should be holes where the water drains.

I stuck a wire cloth hanger down the holes
took apart my whole interior and let it dry
took a whole day but there was dirt clogging the draines.

Hope this helps

Well I tried sticking a 5 foot flexable tiny rod down the hole and also used a compress air to blow into the hole and then tried pouring some water through the hole again and there were still some water leaking into the passenger side.
So now I'm starting think that the dealership technician is correct after all about the hose being loose and fall off where it's suppose to connect to the hose that exit the firewall. Does anyone know if there's a way to repair this? Or Am I pretty screwed and have to take it to the dealership. Please let me know. Thanks,

How did you solve this problem? I have the same scenario. I suspect the drain tube has become disconnected from the bulkhead connector on the inside fender well. This is where it exits, behind the fender liner.

It turn out that this sometime (rarely) happen but what happen was that the plastic tube shrunk due to heat/cold/heat (This is according to my local Acura Master Tech). He didn't charge me much like $100 to fixed this. But he explained and show what he did.
1. Take off wheel
2. Take off plastic cover within the wheel wells.
3. Used a really thin, yet long needle nose and pull the remaining tube out.
4. Find a spare tube, glue it excessively from the new over the old tube (leave lots of excess when putting in)
5. Push it back and trim excess that is sticking out at the wheel wells.

I watched the whole thing just to learn.

Hope that helps.
