Programming the garage remote

I purchased a 2004 Acura Tl and it didnt come with the owners manual. Do anyone know where I can get one? But in the meantime, I would like to know to program my garage remote to the car. Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

You can register your vehicle at the this link, and then you will be able to access the Owner's Manual. You will not be able to download or bookmark the link because the manual is available online only.

There used to be a Honda website link with the downloadable owner's manual, but it has been discontinued.

You can order one here. www.helminc.com

I used the homelink web site to get the instructions for the car and paired that with my openers instructions.

Ron, apparently not true for the 04 manual:

Click here for 04TL owver's manual

However, to the OP, it's still a good idea to register. If you're going to be doing most of the maintenance yourself, I highly recommend getting the service manual as well. Welcome and enjoy your ride!

everyone needs to register with acura care 1-800 382 2238 x5
they send out the recall notes from that office

acura.com owner section lets you store the radio /nav codes safely- and keep a maitenance log online..lots of other info in the site too

I have the owners manual, and have successfully programmed a garage door with my homelink, and have tried repeatedly to program the gate to my community with the remote and homelink with no success. And I don't believe there is a way to find out if there is a rolling code, or if there even could be one for this such gate (normal steel gate to a gated community). Also, I dont think I could unplug it! Anyone know what else to try?

Not trying to thread jack!
