Problem with VTEC??
hey this is my second time posting this thread. i recently got my car tuned and im pushin 280 whp. . . first and second gear pull fine as expected however aroudn 5, 500 RPM's in 3rd gear the tachometer in the rpm gauge pins and creeps and creeps and slowly gets to 7,000 rpms. i have no idea as to why this would be occuring mods list is in the signature . . . PLEASE HELPPP

Not an expert, but it seems to make sense that it's definetly in the "tune". How'd you do that; What method? Was this a problem before the tune? If not, how soon after did you notice it?
Also, what year is the car? MT or AT? (oops, I see it now 2008 TL = 5AT).
Did they change the VTEC engaement point? This is only 3rd gear, not 1st, or 2nd or 4th? VTEC engages normally in those gears?

it was happening before the tune, my car was running reall lean, due to the mods, i had done. and the car tends to bounce rapidly in low third gear roughly around 3,200 rpms then goes away but then when throttle's held down in 3rd it goes through 4,00 5,000 fine then all of a sudden pins at 5,500 for approx .5 sec then slowly creeps and creeps and creeps to get to 7,000. i do however have a leak in my exhaust manifold gasket that i am getting fixed soon. would that have anything to do with the bogging and pinning of my tachometer / engine/ VTECH??. . . and i had it professionally tuned with a custom harness made my boomslang, for my ECU and used the AFC neo by apexi. . .but on the neo the VTECH CNTRL is switched to off.?? any ideass guys ?? i tried to be as specific as possible haha

If the leak is pre-primary 02 sensor it will cause the computer to think it's running lean. It then adds more fuel to compensate for a problem that's not there and before you know it, it's loading up.
If it's the head to manifold gasket, the exhaust will eventually firecut a slot into the head and ruin it.
Get the leak fixed, reset the ECM and see if it goes away.
