This evening while driving on the interstate I hit a chunk of ice after it fell from a car in front of me. I did not think much off it, until I arrived home took a look at the front of my car.

Apparently this chunk of ice hit the lower drivers side part of my front 000bumper and cracked in completly in half. The crack runs completely through the bumper.

I assume there is no way I can just have that fixed due to the bumper being plastic. Does anyone have a ball park of how much it was cost to replace my stock 05 SSM bumper? I was also considering trying to track down an A-Spec kit instead, but not sure.

I say either get a front lip (depend on how bad it is, needs pic) or get a new front bumper and get it repainted. Not a good idea to fix the crack on the bumper, it will never look right and either way, you gotta paint the whole front bumper cover.

 

I would definitely price it out the way you feel comfortable, new bumper or fix the old one, and then think about letting your insurance pick up the tab if it makes sense with your deductable and all.

If you post pics, we can prolly advise you a little better as to whether getting a new bumper or fix the same one.
