Problem with positive battery terminal
Took my 06 5AT TL into the dealer yesterday for servicing. They noticed that the positive battery terminal had a lot of corrosion but they weren't going to replace the cable. Drove it around for the day and went to dinner. Car would not start, no power at all. Got a jump and made it over to my friends house.
Went to jump it again and I got the cables on and then the power kicked on. So it seems like the terminal is bad. The dealer quoted me $240 for the replacement. Is this legit?

$240 to replace the positive battery cable? It's listed at $35-40 on www.oemacuraparts.com, takes a minute and a half to do it yourself.

Ended up being a bad battery. Apparently between the test (which was good Saturday afternoon) and when I pulled into Jimmy Johns (Saturday evening) the battery decided it didn't want to hold a charge anymore. The battery was under warranty but since I didn't have any of the paperwork I had to get a new one. :/
