Problem with my CD changer in 05 TL

Everytime I load a CD and then go and try to play it, it doesnt play. It actually cuts out all audio coming out from the speakers. I cant even go back to the radio and try to listen to anything without turning the car off and then turning it back on. I was thinking maybe the CD player is shot. Any suggestions???

Did either of you find a solution? I have the exact same problem. I'm thinking of replacing the entire unit, but would like to avoid doing so if possible. Thanks!

Bummer. Thanks though - at least I now know to stop messing with it and just go the ebay route.
