i've been a reader since i got my 07 TLS in April and was looking to see anyone has the same problem like mine.
2 weeks after i got my silver TLS, as i drove approaching a speed bump and slammed on the brakes, my front brakes slips and make a clunk clunk sound..i can feel it at the brake pedal..i tried another speed bump and got the same problem..
last week, took it to the dealer for them to take a look at it (also to have them replace the ongoing problems with the rear noisy struts). the mechanic and i drove around the block to diagnose the problem. he said thats the ABS grabbing and letting go of the brake to keep it from locking. i told him thats a $37000 car shouldnt have that problem of clunking and slipping..he said that is normal with the ABS brakes and there's nothing they can do about that..i was like "wtf?". we went back to the service department and they told me that the struts are on order and they will call me when it arrive to get them replace..bc i was in a hurry, i left baffled and didnt bother with the front brakes..does anyone have that brake problem??

 

Did your last car have abs ?
Sounds like normal abs at work

 

A- dont slam the brakes on your new rotors- they have a break in period- then you need to bed the pads in the make them really work
B- If you are hitting the brakes that hard- you may be activating the ABS which will PULSE the brake is senses a higher wheel speed on
C- Your car has a couple on stabilty control systems- READ the owner book and learn!
One member blamed the car for applying one side brakes and modulating the throttle when he tried a 5 lane dive while downshifting and hitting throttle to pass vehicle on right and make the exit- all on a snow covered freeway at 50 mph.
The car said- no way is this spin out going to happen - and took care of him!
