So im having an issue with this cat. Need to pass inspection. Was curious who else had this issue and what the cheapest solution is. Ive tried doing the clear the code and drive to reset but have bad timing with that. Wondering what you guys did evan fischer has a cat for $190 and install would be $350 looks like a pia to install.

I honestly don't understand your problem, but you're asking what the cheapest solution is. If you're sure that the catalytic converter is the problem, then the cheapest solution is to replace it yourself. If you're not sure it's the catalytic converter, some additional details (i.e. which DTC you're getting) would be helpful.

 

its p0420 cat is not functioning efficiently. has anyone successfully done the anti-fouler trick to solve this issue?
