Power windows and sunroof stopped working

Fuses are all good - under dash and hood. Disconnected battery - reconn - no change - there is no power going to them.
I monkeyed around with the wires last winter - stole power from a wire that belongs to the sunroof switch and installed a hook-up to the radar detector - so i don't have the wires hanging in my face - placed a nice on/off switch on the under - rear view mirror light dome. But it was all clean - the ground was from the metal roof...
It worked great for over 6 mo. Could that be it ? Last thing it was doing - when turning power on to the radar detector it would blink - "low voltage" and finally it stopped working.
Could it be a relay ? I know the dealer will charge me the value of the car to fix it ...![Yuck](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/yuck.gif)

stripped the wire that goes on the sunroof button and soldered the radar detector wire over it. there is no faulty contact with anything else.
I find it hard to believe the small wimpy r. det. overloaded the sunroof circuit.
Anyways, how to fix it ? Is there maybe a relay that will go out ? If it would have been a fuse, the power would have cut off instantly - not the "low voltage" indication the RD gave off before dying.
Could it be a wire burned out ? I don't think so, they're pretty thick, and the overload should have been huge for that.
I'm just thinking out loud...

The Dealer called (they still have the car). They told me the fuse box(also called Multiplex Unit) has microprocessor that burned out.
![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)
They need to replace it (sounds like big money - Dealer said at least $500 - count on more).
On top of over $500 - they will not guarantee success - said the microchips/computers that individually control the sunroof/each window might be burned out

All this because of my bright idea to have the radar detector nicely tucked away.
So, again - ideas ?

Sorry about that. So I guess a TSB link wouldn't have helped.
Good luck with getting it sorted out.

Same problem
[I had the same issue today but I don’t have anything hooked up. It was working one second then the next it all just stopped. Then the sun roof worked, but windows stopped and door locks quit. Then sunroof quit and doors and windows worked again. Now the sunroof is working but door locks and windows quit again. Weird.
