Power steering whine

Hi there,

Power steering just started to whine. Understand there is a TSB 07-060 (thank you, TL gurus).

So far, there is no leak of any kind. P/S level is all good. Would it create any adverse effect/long term damage if I don't fix the O-ring right away? I'm about 500 miles from home and won't be back 'til another week or so.

Thanks

Not likely. Unless you run the pump entirely dry, no real damage should occur to the pump. Many had PS pump issues for ages before fixing them, for me it's been over a year and a half and I just recently fixed it and it works as new.
