Power steering pump leaking for 3rd time

Hi everyone . I replaced the problem power steering o-rings on my 05 TL not even 2 years ago when I got the car. I used genuine Acura parts and was told by the dealer that based on the VIN, they had already been replaced once under warranty. A week or so ago I noticed a loud groaning noise coming from the power steering pump area while turning, only when the car was cold. It's winter in Minnesota so I thought the temp was affecting the car but it would go away after 10 minutes of driving. I checked the fluid and noticed it was low in the reservoir and there was fresh leakage all over the pump area. The temp has warmed up outside now and with the fluid filled, it is silent again. The first time I replaced these o rings I remember thinking it was something else as the location of the leakage appears to be more where the pump meets the engine than where the rings are located. It it appears to be the same leakage as before so I'm assuming it's the rings again unless there's something else that is prone to leaking? I read something about the updated rings vs the old ones and heard it should be red? The replacement parts I used had one black and one red ring. Anyways I'm wondering if this is the expected life of these rings or if you guys suspect it's something else leaking ? I'll post picks of the leak. Thanks

You probably need to rebuild your power steering pump as in replace the seals or buy a new one

Replace the o-ring on the high pressure hose. Pop those two 10 mm bolts and remove the fitting.
It's a bit of a bitch to remove the o-ring. Easiest way to do it is cut it off, just don't mar the metal fitting.

I find that if you have an aftermarket pump they are weak and brittle.

i swapped for an OEM that was "slightly" noisy (not quiet) and it's been good for 2 years now. Look for a used OEM. I'm sure the aftermarket crap pump destroyed my rack much faster.
CHANGE YOU BELT aswell.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll look at the rebuild kit. and about that belt, I actually noticed that run in it shortly after install. It's a genuine Acura belt that came with my timing belt kit. not too worried about it
