Hi,

I had a big power steering leak the other week from the passenger side and it turned out to be the high pressure hose which was leaking. It was rusty and cracked at one point and thankfully was changed and I got the car back today.

Unfortunately, after a few hours of driving the steering was still just a tiny bit stiff so I decided to take a look underneath and there it was leaking again, this time from the driver side. I’m fearful it’s the rack and pinion because that’s expensive $$$.

The car has 99k miles and it’s an 07. I’ve had to replace a lot of parts on it. It’s a good car but sometimes it gets on my nerves…


I’ve attached some pictures from where I think the leak is coming from. I have videos but they take up too much size.

Are these leaks clear and obvious? Do they drip to the floor? I just had my steering go extremely tough to turn after going into limp mode.

 

Yes it drips all the way to the floor.

 

Can you take a look at the power steering hoses at the engine, to the left, and perhaps the hoses that connect to the reservoir

 

Update : It looks like it’s the return hose.
