First post so apologies if it's in the wrong spot or I miss something. 07 TL base with 193k miles that was running like a champ until last week when I had the timing belt, water pump, tensioners and serpentine belt replaced. A day after all that was done the power steering pump started whining and when I shut the motor off fluid dumps out the top of the reservoir. A little reading made me believe that it's air in the system, I tried bleeding it but it doesn't help. Now when I start the car in the morning the belt squeals for maybe 10-15 minutes. Anyone have a possible solution and are these related? I checked the belt and it doesn't look like any power steering fluid got on it. Thanks in advance

 

Power steering problem indeed sounds like air pocket in the system. Those are tricky to get rid off. If some car really makes trouble, I use small handheld vacuum pump, turn the steering wheel side to side, and then let car idle. That solves power steering air problems most of the time.
If fluid reservoir has screen inside, sometimes they can plug, and that makes whine / introduces air in the system. Also make sure that pump inlet is fine, especially since they removed the pump to do the timing belt.

In terms of belt squeaking, that is usually contamination (for example with power steering fluid), wrong tension, poor quality belt, or pulley out of alignment

If someone else did the timing belt, why not come back and let them check it out?
