Power Steering Acting Up

I replaced pump a couple fo weeks ago with a manufactured Cardone. I replaced fluid with Acura PS fluid.Today Im driving and go to make a turn, and there is no power assist. Pump not wining like it's low on fluid, and fluid is right where it should be. Then it goes back to being fine, then not, then fine., then not. Went to start car later and it was stalling out as if something was putting a strain on motor? Really strange. Is there some sot of valve in pump that may be sticking? Any ideas?

The belt is new. Wouldn't it squeal if it was slipping? Can they slip and not make noise?

^^^ yeah a friend of mine had a similar problem....and we noticed that his belt is slipping over the PS pump.....well ask someone to turn your steering lock to lock and see if you see the PS pump pulley rotating or the belt slipping over it....

Ok cool..I'll check it. Since I wrote that it hasnt happened again. I did set the belt very lose, so as too not damage the PS bearings.
