Power Going Out while driving

So, just the other day my husband was driving the car on the highway when he heard a big noise and the power went out. Suspecting it could be a fuse or wire of some sort going out? Since then, the power will go out every little while. so say im out driving for an hour, the power might flicker on and off 3 or 4 times and during those it sometimes does it multiple times in a go. When it does, the gauges, radio, clock everything turns off for a split second and goes back on again as if i just jumpstarted the battery. The navi screen is asking for a code.

Anyone have an idea what this could be? 08 type s

sounds like one of the battery cables are loose, or the cable from the alternator/starter is loose.

Thanks, will look into it.

Is it very complicated to tighten? And can changing the battery terminals fix that issue?

First do a visual and physical inspection of the battery terminals, cables, and clamps. It may be as simple as cleaning or tightening. It may need replacement. Until you look, nobody knows.

Have you checked the + battery cable? At this age, it might be rusted internally where you can't see.
