Convert Power Socket to always on?
Just got a new rechargeable radar detector that requires an overnight charge in the car before first use. Of course the power sockets are powered on in Accessory or Running mode only. Any way to convert them to always on? I saw some old Google posts but didn't know if anyone had any new thoughts. My Pathfinder had a fuse option that by moving the fuse, you could make the power socket always on. Thanks

Most auto makers deliberately design the power supply circuit such that the +12V power going to the accessory sockets is always switched; since the auto makers have no control of the current loading of the power draining devices that will be plugged in.
This is to safeguard the car battery from being drained dry, and ending up with a dead car.
