Paint problem...under warranty?

Paint problem...under warranty?
Crappy pics, I know, but you should be able to see that the paint is basically beginning to PEEL off of the front bumper at the seam where the fender and bumper meet. It is not a chip, it is simply peeling off. I have had no front impacts on the car at all.
There is also a piece of black filler popping out from under the front chrome on the hood. I noticed both of these issues when I was washing the car yesterday.
Obviously this SHOULD be under warranty, but they will probably give me the run around and claim it was caused by an impact. Any words of advice on how to deal with this?

Couldn't say if it is common. When I took mine in they seemed to know this happens. Didn't even argue with me. They said no problem and gave me a loaner for a couple of days. They touched it up. Looked good and it happened again a month later. Took it in and they painted it again. Good to go so far My dealership has been great with any problems I have had.

Give me a freaking break. Naturally I checked on my own, and sure enough are a few scrapes, definitely noticable on the underside of the bumper. I would imagine they are not going to cover it under warranty based on what the service guy said. Pretty much going into the appointment thursday expecting the worst.

but saeriously...what car doesnt have scrapes on the underside of the bumper from road debris? This has some serious potential to piss me off and cause me to be a squeaky wheel to get my way.

well it's in. And I need to find a new host for pic uploading.
We'll see what they say...I'm more optimistic then I was previously, but we will see. Even if they blame the scrape on the underside, there is no reason paint should start peeling from a less than minor brush against a parking block (I assume) in a totally different area on the front bumper on a ~$35k car.

I knew it was too good to be true. Doesn't match even close to what it used to, and there are air bubbles where they refinished it.
Calling them tomorrow to let them know they should be ready to fix it next time I am in for a service.

Be glad you got yours repainted. I took mine in for service and complained about the paint peeling on the front bumper and they basically told me to eff off. I had 100,000 miles. I've owned plenty of cars with over 100,000 and the paint didn't peel. I was highly upset.

I have the same problem on my 07 RDX with 62K. Paint has peeled off the top of the front bumper where it meets the front fascia - the spot is about an inch across. There has been no impact, but the dealer says it's not covered (which they say everytime I've had a warranty claim) and was caused by impact.
