Hi all,

I got a check engine light a few weeks ago on my 06 TL. My OBD2 and my mechanics OBD2 shows a warning code P0497. After 2 trips to my mechanic (who’s always been reliable and I blindly trust him), he replaced the Purge Valve by the intake and made sure all hoses were tight. A few days later my light is back on but the car passes All the test Evap tests every time he looks to find where the issue can be.

before bringing it to him again to take a deep deep dive. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Has anyone experienced this before?

 

My guess is that it was not replaced with an OEM valve. That happened to me so I bought the more expensive quality part and it works perfect.

 

Any resolution to this one? I have P0497 also; and a few others.
