Outside temperature display

My 2006 TL usually shows the outside temperature about 4-5 degrees warmer than it actual is. Is this a common issue? If not, how do I fix it? I assume there is a sending unit somewhere?

What are you using to know the "actual" temp?

I think you can go +/- 3 degrees. I don't remember the exact procedure but it's in the forum for sure. So definitely do a search. I just remember you have to use the reset button while on the temperature display.

OK here is how you test the sensor

1 clean it off
2 turn car ON
3 stick it in a cup of ice and water

should read 32F if not adjust it until it does. you can do + or - 3 degrees F, outside of that, take it to Acura dealer

This is why I relocated mine to right behind the lower front grill. Set the offset to 0* and it's been spot on ever since.

My 03 MDX outside temp always shows -40 never changes. Could it be the sensor?
